A mystical ninja from the desolate mountains of northeast Oregon, Shawn developed a lifelong obsession with anything that rolled on wheels even before he was in school. That fire carried him well into the double digits until one fateful day, while wandering, he stumbled upon a battered set of Nunchaku abandoned on a table at used goods store. The shopkeeper offered them for five dollars—his last five—and without a second thought he made his decision, a choice that set him on a lifelong path.

From there, Shawn honed his craft, moving from Contact and Acro-Staff to Rope Dart and Throwing Knives. A chance discovery of the three-ball cascade pattern ignited an obsession with Juggling, and soon after, a small store near the skate shop he regularly frequented introduced him to the world of skill toys—poi, diabolo, flower sticks, etc. For years he trained in secret, collecting new tools and refining his art, eventually stepping into the spotlight for a short period of time as a paid performer.

In his early twenties everything changed though, Shawn uncovered the mysterious powers of the yo-yo, dedicating multiple years to uncovering its intricacies with a manic fervor.

Today, he channels that same creative energy into crafting hobbies, while serving the shogun’s peace as a cog in the corporate machine—ever the ninja, Shawn goes through life trying to balance a samurai's discipline with a clown’s playful zeal.
